Dalmatian
Are you seeing spots? Don’t worry, it’s probably just a Dalmatian running by. The Dalmatian is known as the stars of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians and their latest claim to fame in the kids comic series Paw Patrol, this sleek and athletic dog breed has an ancestry that goes back hundreds of years.
Unique spots are the Dalmatian’s calling card, but their running ability is what made them famous. Bred to be a coaching dog, they ran alongside carriages and horseback riders for miles, discouraging stray dogs from interfering with the horses, alerting the coachman to the presence of approaching highwaymen, and guarding the carriage at rest stops. No fashionable lord or lady went driving without a pair of the flashy dogs by their side, and later the Dalmatian’s talents were adapted by firemen, who kept the dogs to clear paths through town for their horse-drawn fire engines.
There is so much more about the fascinating dog; join me and my three grand-daughters as we journey thru family life with two Dalmatians named Lucy and Ryder. We are training them to be Coach Dogs running along side our fully restored and customized 22 year old golf cart named Stitch.

CKC Registered Dalmatians
Family Raised and Kid Tested

Lucy
Female 12-5-2018
Sire: Pogo – Dem: Betsy
Princess Lucy is all lady, she is dainty and a cuddler. But, at 45lbs she is rather large for a lap dog. Dals are guard dogs and she will let you know when someone who doesn’t belong is nosing around. She is royalty and acts the part with her Dalmatian smile. Cup of tea anyone?

CKC Registered Dalmatian Prince Ryder
Male 12-15-2019
Sire: Tango – Dem: Katie
Prince Ryder, what can I say. He’s a bull in a China shop. A big clumsy oaf. He weighs in at 70lbs and you will feel every pound if you get in his way. He is eager to please and has many vocal tones in his attempts to communicate. A real clown with a big heart.
I Want One
Dalmatians puppies are born white and don’t get their spots till about five weeks. All puppies are BAER (brainstem auditory evoked response) tested at LSU pet clinic before picking up your puppy. Because of the high demand for Dalmatian puppies, most of our Dal puppies are sold before they are born.

Princess Lucy and Prince Ryder are family pets. They provide hours of enjoyment with their silly antics and unending affection.
With three girls under the age of six, the puppies are well entertained and cared for. Their antics are as wild as their energy and equally matched with their miniature masters. This week we will put their colored collars on so we can tell them apart. The three little angels in the picture have picked out their names and they are as silly as the pups. If we have names, why the colored collars you might ask? Well, have you ever followed the bouncing ball during a karaoke mistake, well try following a thousands spots moving in all directions at the same time. I don’t know if it would drive you to drink or you know …. aooga!
If ya got the room and energy, a Dal is an attention getter and will become a hit in your neighborhood and dog park.

Our website has lots of info on the Dalmatian breed, their characteristics, their personalities, antics and much more.
